New York City Hallway Shooter Jason Pass Shoots and Kills Neighbor and Stepson

Hallway Shooter Jason Pass

During the altercation, Bladimy Mathurin was seen holding what appeared to be scissors and began threatening Pass. Mathurin’s wife, Marie Delille attempts to defuse the situation by pulling her husband away, but Mathurin pushes her away and continues confronting Pass, who seems to remain calm at first but then pulls out a handgun. Mathurin then turns to retreat when Pass begins to fire, shooting Mathurin in the back as he is retreating. The stepson Mod Chinwai then appears to charge at Pass, when he is shot by Pass several times.

In what clearly looks like an execution, Pass then walks back over to Mathurin and fires another shot, killing him and then calmly walks to the elevator and leaves. Police investigating the scene recover nine .45-caliber shell casings and five bullet fragments from the hallway where the incident took place.

Pass remained on the run until a few days later when he is spotted driving down a Bath Beach, Brooklyn, street on Wednesday morning. Officers attempted to apprehend Pass when he lunged at them with a knife. Pass was shot multiple times in the leg, chest, and jaw. Pass was taken to a local hospital in critical condition where he later died from his injuries.
